In yet another in a series of actions initiated by Thermapure, Inc., a Ventura, California-based company, Thermapure filed suit against Pinnacle Emergency Management, Inc., in federal court on Friday, June 24, 2011, claiming Pinnacle infringed on Thermapure’s U.S. patent, number 6,327,812 (commonly called “the 812 patent”). Pinnacle Emergency Management, Inc., is a West Sacramento, California general contractor specializing in emergency services. Similar to other lawsuits filed against other defendants across the United States, Thermapure’s case against Pinnacle concerns the alleged infringement, by Pinnacle, of Thermapure’s patented method of killing organisms and removal of toxins in enclosures.
