Claiming an infringement on its United States patent number 6,327,812 (commonly called "the 812 patent"), on June 22, 2011, Thermapure, Inc. filed suit against Yuma, Arizona based SCR-Sun Country Restoration, Inc. The federal court case is one in a series of actions initiated by Thermapure concerning its method of killing organisms and removal of toxins in enclosures.
According to its website, SCR-Sun Country Restoration has been in business for more than 30 years, specializing in just disaster restoration for the past 7 years. It is a fully licensed general contractor.
